Do you know a hardworking, outstanding advising or student services professional? You know – that person with strong interpersonal and communication skills who always seems to go the extra mile and demonstrates care for their students and colleagues?

This year IlliAAC will be accepting nominations for THREE (3) categories:
- Outstanding New Advising Professional: A University of Illinois employee and IlliAAC member with fewer than 3 years of experience providing professional academic advising to undergraduate or graduate students.
- Outstanding Advising Professional: A University of Illinois employee and IlliAAC member with 3+ years of experience providing professional academic advising to undergraduate or graduate students.
- Outstanding Student Services Professional: A University of Illinois employee and IlliAAC member with at least 1 year of experience in student services. Student Services can include work in housing, OMSA, career services, international student affairs, counseling, or any other office or unit dedicated to serving current undergraduate and graduate students.
All award recipients will receive a small award ($100-200), membership to IlliAAC for 2020-2021, and recognition at the IlliAAC Awards Banquet on Thursday, May 7.
To nominate a deserving candidate, submit:
- Your name and contact information
- The nominee’s name and contact information
- A nomination letter (2 pages max.) that attests to the nominee’s excellence in advising or student services
- Contact information for 3 individuals (including one current student) who can write letters of support for the nominee
