Good morning!
We have revised the IlliAAC award nomination form and extended the submission deadline. If you know an outstanding advising or student services professional that has strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrates care for their students and colleagues, and exceeds expectations, please consider nominating them (or yourself) as a way to say thank-you for their contributions to your team!
Materials now required to submit a nomination by Friday, May 7th are:
- Your name and contact information
- The nominee’s name and contact information
- A nomination letter (2 pages max.) that attests to the nominee’s excellence in advising or student services
This year IlliAAC is accepting nominations in THREE (3) categories:
- Outstanding New Advising Professional: A University of Illinois employee and IlliAAC member with fewer than 3 years of experience providing professional academic advising to undergraduate or graduate students.
- Outstanding Advising Professional: A University of Illinois employee and IlliAAC member with 3+ years of experience providing professional academic advising to undergraduate or graduate students.
- Outstanding Student Services Professional: A University of Illinois employee and IlliAAC member with at least 1 year of experience in student services. Student Services can include work in housing, OMSA, career services, international student affairs, counseling, or any other office or unit dedicated to serving current undergraduate and graduate students.
All award recipients will receive a monetary award ($100-200), membership to IlliAAC for 2021-2022, and recognition at an upcoming IlliAAC event.
