How Academic Issues Impact Financial Aid

Date:                     Wednesday, February 27, 2013

Time:                    11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Location:             Student Services Arcade Building, Conference Room 143, located at 620 E. John Street

Presenters:        Charles Mayfield – Associate Director, Office of Student Financial Aid

Clarice Merriman – Assistant Director, Office of Student Financial Aid

Seventy-four percent of students on this campus receive financial aid and meeting financial aid requirements is crucial for their academic success.  Some well-intended academic decisions can have unintended consequences that result in students losing their aid eligibility. Helping students make well-informed decisions to accomplish their academic goals while they work to maintain their financial aid eligibility demands some thoughtful consideration. This session will provide information on how students are impacted by Satisfactory Academic Progress, changes in enrollment status (add/drop/withdrawal), studying abroad, enrollment in non-standard term courses, repeat coursework and dual degree programs.

For those that are interested, join fellow attendees at Legends for lunch afterwards!
