Natasha Jankowski, Project Manager for the National Institute for Learning Outcomes Assessment (NILOA), will lead a presentation and discussion to address and dispel common myths and fears about assessment. The presentation will include a brief overview and introduction to assessment before addressing the topics of how much time assessment takes, why assessment is valuable, and what to do with results (even bad ones). The session will close with some time for questions.
10:00 – 10:45 am – What to do when your students are undecided
Students in any college can be unsure about their major and their future careers. Jen Heinold and Jenni Kotowski from DGS will preset some basic ideas on how to work with these students and what resources are available to help.
